All hopes on The Paradise to revive Tollywood fortunes

All hopes on The Paradise to revive Tollywood fortunes. Over the last few months Tollywood hit a purple patch with around 9 films, Suriya’s Veerabhadrudu and Vishwanath & Sons, Ram Charan’s Peddi, Samantha’s Maa Inti Bangaram, Akhil Akkineni’s Lenin, Kiran Abbavaram’s Chennai Love Story, Varun Tej’s Korean Kanakaraju, DC starring Lokesh Kanagaraj, and Ravi Teja’s Irumudi turning hits and making people come to theatres.
This comes after Tollywood was hit by months of disasters after Sankranti hits like Chiranjeevi's Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, Sharwanand's Nari Nari Naduma Murari and Naveen Polishetty's Anaganaga Oka Raju. Many felt that other films post Irumudi will continue the trend.
However, films like Epic, Mahendragiri Varahi, Maremma, Romanchakam, Toxic, I'm Game, Sardar 2 releasing amidst huge expectations turned out to be disasters. Now all eyes are on The Paradise starring Nani and helmed by Srikanth Odela which is releasing on 24 September. The film's teaser and trailer got tremendous response and expectations are high on it. The question is can The Paradise revive the Tollywood fortunes and bring back the lost glory.
