Sobhita Dhulipala Reveals Why She Never Expected To Marry An Actor

Sobhita Dhulipala has opened up about her marriage to Naga Chaitanya, revealing that she always imagined a traditional Telugu wedding but never expected to marry an actor. The couple married on December 4, 2024, in an intimate ceremony at Annapurna Studios, Hyderabad, surrounded by family and close friends.

Discussing their life together, Sobhita explained that demanding shooting schedules kept them apart for extended periods. She spent more than 150 days filming in Tamil Nadu shortly after their wedding. Despite meeting infrequently, she said both actors have been consciously adapting to married life and prioritising their relationship.

Sobhita said her dream of a traditional Telugu wedding began during childhood, making the cultural elements particularly meaningful. She also reflected on her acting journey, explaining that unconventional roles eventually helped her recognise the importance of staying authentic rather than changing herself to fit commercial expectations. Naga Chaitanya has similarly described their relationship as rooted in friendship and understanding.

Professionally, Sobhita continues exploring diverse roles across Indian cinema. Her recent Telugu release, Cheekatilo, premiered on Amazon Prime Video in January 2026, while her upcoming Tamil project Vettuvam, directed by Pa Ranjith, promises another distinctive performance. Sobhita has described the film as an extraordinary project and called her character a “crazy avatar.”
