Kriti Sanon in trouble for Rakshabandhan ad. Kriti Sanon recently featured in a Rakshabandhan jewellery ad and now this is resulting in a controversy.

In the advertisement , Kriti wore an Indo-Western outfit comprising a bralette-style blouse with a cape and a draped skirt.Netizens are shocked with Kriti's outfits as Rakshabandhan features people wearing traditional outfits and they reacted in the following way.

Many objected to the actor's attire in the traditional-themed advertisement, in which she is seen tying a rakhi to her onscreen brother. Several users did not find the outfit appropriate for the occasion. One comment read, “I was shocked seeing this ad yesterday. What nonsense?” Another criticised the campaign, calling it “extremely shameful”.

Another social media user questioned Kriti's styling and wrote, “Where is Puja Ki thali? Why are you wearing bra in front of your brother? Is this a Raksha Bandhan? Where is Tilak?” Another comment read, "That Kriti Sanon ad seems deliberate. The agency and brand were aware of what they were doing." Another user questioned Kriti's outfit, "No woman dresses like this on Raksha Bandhan. Shame on you @kritisanon"

Some however supported Kriti. user wrote, "Everyone trolling Kriti Sanon for this GIVA ad, saying she’s wearing a “bikini.” Is she? Nope. She’s not dressed inappropriately. Maybe her outfit just doesn’t fit your definition of “decency.” I could wear that in front of my brother too. Same people cheering her bikini scenes in movies are now policing her clothes. Women are judged either way. Get a life, trollers."

One more comment read, "Raksha Bandhan ad by GIVA, a jewellery brand. It is pathbreaking because women across the country were feeling oppressed by societal expectations to dress traditionally or modestly for Raksha Bandhan, and they needed something that broke the stereotype. Finally, it is here. More power to Kriti Sanon."
