Ramya Krishna Joins Political Drama Queen

Veteran actress Ramya Krishna has joined director Rathan Rishi’s women-centric Telugu film Queen in a key role. Produced by One Circle Films, the movie introduces social media influencer ER Yamini as lead. Ramya Krishna’s casting has raised strong buzz for the political drama.
She will play Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Lakshmi Pranathi, a powerful character based on real incidents. Set between 2006 and 2010, Queen blends politics with a contemporary love story. Ramya’s commanding screen presence is expected to be a major highlight.
The film features Dialogue King Sai Kumar as Yamini’s father. Ajay Ghosh and Kalakeya Prabhakar appear as antagonists. Tanikella Bharani and Naveen Bethiganti are also part of the ensemble. The story addresses social issues while keeping commercial appeal intact for Telugu audiences.
Shooting is progressing briskly across Hyderabad and nearby locations. Makers welcomed Ramya Krishna and said her role adds weight. With a mix of youth, politics and emotion, Queen aims to deliver a fresh narrative. The team targets a 2026 release across theaters.
