The rental and precentage sharing issue which became a stumbling block between the producers, distributors and the exhibitors, reached its dead end.

Many expected that the issue will be resolved amicably after the parties concerned agreed for the formation of committees after the meeting at the Film Chamber. However, just ten days before the Ram Charan's Peddi release, exhibitors started demanding percenage issue and now the controversy reached Mega Star Chiranjeevi.

Exhibitors will be meeting Chiranjeevi today at 4 PM and hold discussions on the precentage system. It is coming out that they are unhappy with the recommendations of the committee constituted by the Film Chamber. The committee sought time till June end to resolve the precentage issue but exhibitors are having nothing of it.

They are demanding that they should come up with some precentage even if it means lesser than that of the multiplexes and that should happen before the release of Peddi. During the Satudary meeting Exhibitors told that they are not against Peddi or targeting them but they have been demanding percentage system for more than a year and if Chiranjeevi gives time, they will apprise him of their problems.

Producers however says that already they have spent 70-80% on the 25 films currently in the production and after their release, they will go for percentage system. Peddi producer Vankat Satish Kilaru apprised Ram Charan about the protests of the exhibitors. Many feel with Chiranjeevi's involvement, the issue may get resolved amicably.
