Karuppu Storms Box Office With Rs 135 Cr For Four Days

Karuppu had a huge opening weekend at the box office. The film earned Rs 120 crore gross worldwide in the first three days. Suriya’s action film got a great start in all areas. Tamil Nadu gave Rs 47 crore. Overseas markets added Rs 43 crore. The Telugu version called Veerabhadrudu did very well too. It made Rs 11.5 crore in Telugu states in three days. Karnataka gave Rs 10 crore and Kerala gave Rs 7 crore. Rest of India added Rs 1.5 crore. The film is seeing strong word of mouth. On Monday, Karuppu held well with double digit numbers in Tamil Nadu. This shows people like the film after the first weekend.

The four day total for Karuppu has crossed Rs 135 crore gross worldwide. Day four was strong in all South states. Veerabhadrudu is also doing big business in Telugu states. The four day total for the Telugu version is around Rs 14.5 crore gross. The film needs about Rs 18 crore share to break even in AP and Telangana. It has already recovered most of the amount. Trade reports say Veerabhadrudu will reach break even by day five or six. This is a big win for Suriya in the Telugu marke. Karuppu proves his strong fan base there.

With Monday numbers, Karuppu is now Suriya’s top film ever. It passed Singam 2 which made Rs 125 crore in its full run. The film is set to cross Rs 150 crore gross in week one. Experts say it can easily reach Rs 200 crore. The target now is the Rs 250 crore club. The film is doing well in Tamil Nadu, Telugu states, Karnataka, Kerala, and overseas. Veerabhadrudu is holding strong shows in Hyderabad, Vizag, and Vijayawada.

Suriya has a firm hold on the Telugu states. His films get big openings and long runs there. Veerabhadrudu is seeing houseful boards in many single screens. Fans like his mass action and strong story. Distributors are happy with the four day trend. If the run stays like this, Karuppu will be one of the top South Indian hits of 2026.
