Peddi Eyes 220 Crore Breakeven With Massive Pre Release Business

Mega Power Star Ram Charan’s Peddi is creating huge buzz before release. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film is a period sports action drama with Janhvi Kapoor as the lead. Music is by A R Rahman. The trailer will release soon in Mumbai. All major business deals for the film are closed. Trade reports say the Telugu theatrical breakeven target is around ₹220 crore share. Only four Telugu films have crossed ₹220 crore share so far: RRR, Baahubali 2, Pushpa 2, and Kalki 2898 AD. This means Peddi must enter the all time top 5 to reach a safe zone. The film has strong mass and class elements with natural storytelling. The team also promised many shocking moments in the film.
Area wise, Peddi has done huge pre release business that crosses ₹210 crore worldwide. Nizam rights are valued at about ₹70 crore. Ceeded is around ₹25 crore. Andhra is nearly ₹55 crore with Uttarandhra at ₹15 crore, East at ₹12 crore, West at ₹10 crore, Krishna at ₹8 crore, Guntur at ₹12 crore, and Nellore at ₹6 crore. Karnataka rights are at ₹18 crore while Tamil Nadu is ₹10 crore. Kerala is ₹6 crore and Hindi plus Rest of India is close to ₹20 crore. Overseas rights are locked at ₹35 crore. The total theatrical business stands at roughly ₹212 crore worldwide. This is one of the highest ever for a Telugu film.
With this big business, the pressure on Peddi is high. The film needs strong word of mouth to collect ₹220 crore share in Telugu states alone. The sports drama setup, Ram Charan’s star power, and Buchi Babu’s fresh take have raised hopes. The movie has a 45 minute intense climax and a special song that can pull crowds. It is made by Mythri Movie Makers, Sukumar Writings, and Vriddhi Cinemas on a grand budget. The release date is June 4, 2026.
If the content matches the hype, Peddi can join the list of top Telugu grossers. The trailer response will set the tone for advance bookings. Fans expect record openings because of Ram Charan’s market after RRR. Trade experts say a long run and repeat audience will be key to cross the breakeven mark. The next few weeks will decide if Peddi becomes the next industry hit.
