Kiara Advani Calls Toxic Rumors Fake News

Kiara Advani has shut down reports about her film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups. Reports said she asked the makers to cut bold scenes with Yash. Kiara saw the post on Instagram and wrote “Absolute nonsense!” on her story. She made it clear that the news was false. This is not the first time a film faced such rumors before release.
The film stars Yash in the lead and is directed by Geetu Mohandas. It also has Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, and Rukmini Vasanth in key roles. Toxic is set in Goa between the 1940s and 1970s and talks about drug trafficking during the end of colonial rule. The team shot the film from August 2024 to October 2025. It will release in Hindi and other South Indian languages. The makers had planned a June 4 release but the date got pushed again.
On social media, fans are supporting Kiara for calling out fake news. Many said such stories harm a film before release. The film is backed by KVN Productions and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations. Despite three delays, the movie is still one of the most talked about projects of 2026.
Toxic was announced in December 2023 and has huge hype because it brings Yash and Kiara together for the first time. The first look and set photos went viral last year. Fans are waiting for the teaser, which is expected to drop soon. With Kiara clearing the air, the team can now focus on promotions. The film’s scale, cast, and story have already made it a big deal in both North and South markets.
