Earlier the highly anticipated pre-release event for Jr. NTR's "Devara," scheduled for Sunday evening at the Novotel in Madhapur, Hyderabad, was abruptly cancelled due to overwhelming fan turnout.
Despite the organizers' efforts to accommodate the massive crowd, the venue quickly became overcrowded and chaotic. Fans, eager to catch a glimpse of NTR, overwhelmed security and occupied seats reserved for VIPs and media personnel.
Despite pleas from organizers and filmmakers, the situation escalated beyond control, forcing the makers to make the difficult decision to cancel the event for safety reasons. Film distributor S Naga Vamsi, along with filmmaker Trivikram Srinivas and producer S Radha Krishna, were forced to leave the venue.
A statement released by the production team confirmed the cancellation, leaving fans disappointed and heartbroken. While the event organizers and production team may now face backlash from the disappointed fans, the decision was ultimately made to prioritize the safety of everyone involved.
"Devara," produced by NTR Arts and Yuvasudha Arts, is a highly anticipated film set for a September 27th release. It is expected that both Jr. NTR and director Koratala Siva will address the situation with a statement in the coming hours.
The incident underscores the immense popularity of Jr. NTR and the overwhelming enthusiasm of his fans. However, it also serves as a stark reminder of the crucial need for careful crowd management and safety protocols at large-scale events.
