Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan has expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming retrospective honoring Telugu cinema's iconic figure, Akkineni Nageswara Rao. Big B took to Instagram, sharing a poster of the event, titled 'ANR 100 – King Of The Silver Screen', which celebrates the 100th birth anniversary of the late actor.

The Film Heritage Foundation (FHF) is organizing the countrywide film festival, showcasing 10 restored classics of Akkineni Nageswara Rao's remarkable career, spanning over 7 decades and 250 movies across Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi-language cinema. Born on September 20, 1924, Rao's journey from a farming family to becoming a legendary actor is a testament to his dedication and passion.

The festival will take place from September 20 to September 22 across 25 Indian cities, including metros like Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, and Bengaluru, as well as tier 1 and tier 2 cities. This collaborative effort between FHF, the Akkineni Nageswara Rao family, NFDC, and PVR-Inox aims to preserve India's rich cinematic heritage.

Amitabh Bachchan's tribute to Akkineni Nageswara Rao highlights the significance of honoring India's cinematic legends. With 'ANR 100 – King Of The Silver Screen', audiences will have the opportunity to experience the iconic actor's timeless classics, appreciating his enduring impact on Indian cinema.
