Actor Karthi is set to embark on a grand new adventure with "Karthi 29," a period film directed by filmmaker Tamizh, known for his critically acclaimed debut "Taanakaaran." Dream Warrior Pictures, the banner behind successful films like "Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru" and "Kaithi," will produce the project, marking their continued collaboration with Karthi.

The title poster, released recently, depicts a ship navigating a vast ocean, hinting at an epic scale and a captivating narrative. The film will also be co-produced by Ivy Entertainment and B4U Motion Pictures.

"Karthi 29" marks Tamizh's second directorial venture and his first collaboration with Karthi, promising a unique blend of storytelling and cinematic brilliance. The project is currently in its pre-production stage, with filming slated to begin soon, aiming for a release in 2025.

Meanwhile, Karthi awaits the release of "Meiyazhagan," directed by Prem Kumar of "96" fame, which is scheduled to hit theaters on September 27th.
