Karthi, Aravind Swami Starrer Meiyazhagan Teaser Released

The teaser of Meiyazhagan, an upcoming Tamil film starring Karthi and Arvind Swamy, was released. The film, directed by Prem Kumar, is set to hit theaters on September 27. The teaser showcases the complex relationship between the two lead characters, cousins who are polar opposites in terms of their personalities. While Karthi's character is chirpy, Arvind Swamy's character is silent and brooding, with a hint of underlying tension.

Meiyazhagan marks Prem Kumar's second directorial venture after the critically acclaimed 96, starring Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha. The film boasts an impressive cast, including Sri Divya, Karunakaran, Rajkiran, Jayaprakash, and Swati Konde. The technical crew consists of cinematographer Mahendiran Jayaraju, music composer Govind Vasantha, and editor Govindaraj.

The film is produced by Karthi's brother, Suriya, and his sister-in-law, Jyotika, under their banner 2D Entertainment. The shooting for Meiyazhagan has been wrapped up, with locations in Tamil Nadu, including Karaikudi, Kumbakonam, and other places. Notably, the film was shot using the sync sound method, making it Karthi's second outing in this format after Kaatru Veliyidai.

Meiyazhagan is touted to be a family entertainer, with the plot yet to be revealed. The teaser has generated significant buzz, and fans are eagerly waiting for the film's release. The film is also getting simultaneously released in Telugu as Sathyam Sundaram on September 27 through Asian Suresh Entertainments. NTR' much awaited Devara Part 1 is also releasing on the same day.
