Pawan Kalyan's iconic blockbuster Gabbar Singh was re-released on September 2nd to celebrate the Power Star's birthday, and it has shattered records with its impressive first-day collection. The film grossed Rs. 8.02 crore worldwide, including previews on Sunday night, making it the highest first-day gross for a re-released Telugu film. This impressive feat surpasses other notable films like Businessman and Murari, which grossed around Rs. 5+ crore on their first day.

The breakdown of the numbers reveals that Gabbar Singh earned Rs. 7 crore in India and Rs. 1 crore from overseas markets. Notably, the India number is also an overall record, beating the Tamil film Ghilli, which grossed Rs. 4.70 crore on its first day earlier this year. The re-release of Gabbar Singh has proven to be a huge success, with fans flocking to theaters to celebrate their favorite hero's birthday.

Released in 2012, Gabbar Singh was a massive hit, earning Rs. 90 crore in India and Rs. 102 crore worldwide, making it the then-second-highest-grossing Telugu film of all time. The film's success can be attributed to its talented team, including director Harish Shankar, producer Bandla Ganesh, lead actress Shruti Haasan, and music composer Devi Sri Prasad.

Despite being hampered by rains in Andhra and Telangana, Gabbar Singh's re-release has still managed to achieve remarkable numbers, demonstrating the enduring popularity of Pawan Kalyan and the film. The re-release has given fans a chance to relive the magic of Gabbar Singh on the big screen, and it's clear that the film's appeal remains strong even years after its initial release.
