Sathyaraj As Rajasekar In Rajinikanth Coolie

Rajinikanth's 171st project, Coolie, is generating immense excitement among fans, as the legendary superstar teams up with talented filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj for the first time. The gangster thriller features Rajinikanth in a grey-shaded role and marks his reunion with senior actor Sathyaraj after a gap of over 38 years. 

Recently, the makers dropped Sathyaraj's first look poster from the film, showcasing him in an intense avatar with a clean bald head, thick-framed eyeglasses, and a salt and pepper beard. Director Lokesh Kanagaraj welcomed Sathyaraj on board, revealing his character poster and announcing his role as Rajasekhar in the film. Reports suggest that Sathyaraj plays the close friend and confidante of Rajinikanth's protagonist, in a positive role unlike his previous characters in Rajinikanth blockbusters. 

The makers have been dropping character posters from the film, introducing Soubin Shahir, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Shruti Haasan, and Sathyaraj's characters so far..Anirudh Ravichander is on board as the music composer, with Girish Gangadharan handling the cinematography and Philomin Raj editing the film. 

Produced by Sun Pictures, Coolie is expected to release in the second half of 2025. With its talented cast, promising storyline, and Lokesh Kanagaraj's direction, the film is likely to captivate audiences. Lokesh has already clarified that Coolie is not part of his LOKIverse and is a standalone film.
