Kannada actor Darshan has been transferred to Ballari Central Prison under heavy police security, where he will be held as an undertrial in a murder case. With inmate number 511, Darshan has been in custody for over two months, facing charges in connection with the death of Renukaswamy, in which he is the second accused. The actor was moved from Bengaluru's Parappana Agrahara prison to Ballari prison, arriving around 10 am after a 5.5-hour journey.

Upon arrival, Darshan underwent a medical checkup and was declared fit before being moved to his cell. He was provided with basic amenities like a blanket, bedsheet, plate, mug, and glass, and his cell includes a separate toilet. Security has been heightened in the prison, with additional CCTV cameras installed and prison staff attending to Darshan equipped with body cameras.
