Ajith Kumar is teaming up with director Magizh Thirumeni for the first time in his career for the upcoming action thriller Vidaamuyarchi. The film has been generating buzz with its promising poster series and was initially set to release in October 2024 as a Deepavali special. However, the latest reports suggest that the release has been pushed to November 2024, with the makers aiming for a solo release.
Lyca Productions, the production banner behind Vidaamuyarchi, is reportedly planning to maintain a gap between the releases of their two ambitious ventures, Vettaiyan starring Rajinikanth and Vidaamuyarchi. If things fall in place, Vidaamuyarchi might hit theaters on November 14 or 15, 2024. The delay in release is attributed to the postponement of Kanguva, the Suriya starrer, which was initially set to release on October 10, 2024, but has now been pushed to October 31, 2024.
Vidaamuyarchi features Ajith Kumar as the central character Arjun, with Trisha Krishnan playing the female lead. Arjun Sarja stars as the lead antagonist, alongside Arav, Regina Cassandra, Nikhil Nair, Ganesh Saravanan, Dasarathi, and others in pivotal roles. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the music score, with Om Prakash handling the cinematography and NB Srikanth editing the film.
The official announcement is awaited to confirm the release date and other details. However, if reports are to be believed, Vidaamuyarchi promises to be an exciting addition to Ajith Kumar's filmography, with its action-packed storyline and talented cast and crew.
