Mammootty and Mohanlal, the biggest superstars of Malayalam cinema, are set to share the screen again after a long gap. The duo, who have already worked together in over 55 films, are reportedly teaming up for two projects in 2025. The news was hinted at by producer Antony Perumbavoor, who shared pictures with the duo on social media, suggesting a collaboration between Mammootty Kampany and Aashirvad Cinemas.

One of the projects is believed to be an action thriller, jointly produced by Mammootty Kampany and Aashirvad Cinemas, with Mammootty and Mohanlal playing lead roles. There are also rumors of the movie being a sequel to the recently released film Turbo, which is currently streaming on Sony LIV and OTTplay Premium. Director Vysakh had hinted at a collaboration with another superstar for the film's future installments.

Additionally, Mohanlal is reportedly set to play a pivotal role in an upcoming Mammootty starrer directed by Mahesh Narayanan. The role was initially offered to Suresh Gopi, but he turned it down due to his busy schedule. If things fall in place, the project, bankrolled by Mammootty Kampany, might have its official launch soon.
