Mollywood heartthrob Dulquer Salmaan's much-awaited film, "Lucky Baskhar," has undergone a release date shift, aiming for a Diwali dhamaka instead of its initial September 7th release.
The film, directed by Venky Atluri and featuring Meenakshi Chaudhary alongside Salmaan, will now grace theaters worldwide on October 31st, 2024, coinciding with Diwali eve.
The makers of "Lucky Baskhar," Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinema, cited the need to ensure the film's quality as the reason behind the postponement. In a joint statement, they expressed their commitment to delivering a special Diwali treat to audiences, highlighting the film's grand release across Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, and Hindi languages.
Dulquer himself shared the news on social media, accompanied by a captivating poster from the film.
With GV Prakash Kumar composing the film's music, "Lucky Baskhar" is a period thriller that sees Salmaan portraying a banker who stumbles upon a mysterious path to wealth. The film also features a supporting cast including Kishore Raju Vasistha, Ayaan Sohan, and others.
Director Atluri, known for his successful ventures in Tollywood, aims to continue his winning streak with "Lucky Baskhar." The film's new release date has heightened anticipation for the project, making it a prime contender for Diwali box office success.
