Vikram Thangalaan Garners 26 Crores Globally On Its Release Day

Vikram's Thangalaan has made a decent start at the box office, earning Rs 26+ crore globally, despite facing competition from multiple releases. The film's release on Independence Day, August 15, worked in its favor, even though it received mixed reviews from critics and audiences. The Tamil version of the film has contributed significantly to its earnings, with a collection of Rs 16+ crore, while the Telugu version has collected Rs 3+ crore.

Thangalaan's storyline, set in the 1850s, explores the presence of gold in North Arcot, blending magical realism with history.
