Movies To Watch Out For In OTT This August

Finally, this August not only bringing notable and interesting films into theatres after a long dry period, it is also bringing many biggies in OTT. While theatres will witness films like Mr Bachchan, Double iSmart, Thangalaan and Aay for Independence Day, Nani's Saripodhaa Sanivaaram is also gearing up to hit the screens on 29th August. Meanwhile several big and interesting films are also scheduled to hit the OTT marquee this August. Lets take a look at them. 

Get ready for a thrilling August as several blockbuster films and web series make their OTT debut. Starting August 23, Prabhas' mythological sci-fi thriller, which has grossed over Rs 1100 crore globally, will be available for streaming on Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. The film, also starring Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan, was released theatrically on June 27.

Dhanush's action drama Raayan, which has earned Rs 126 crore worldwide, will be available on Prime Video starting August 30. Meanwhile, Kamal Haasan's Indian 2, initially set for OTT release on August 2, has been postponed to August 9 due to disappointing box office results. The film, made on a budget of Rs 250 crore, earned approximately Rs 150 crore at the box office.

Mammootty's action-comedy Turbo, directed by Vysakh, will be released on Sony Liv on August 9. Additionally, Kamal Haasan's web series Manorathangal, featuring Mohanlal, Mammootty, and Fahadh Faasil, will be available on Zee5 on August 15. With these exciting releases, August is shaping up to be a treat for OTT enthusiasts.
