Akhil turning Lenin. Akhil Akkineni, aiming to regain his footing in the Telugu film industry after the box office disappointment of "Agent," is set to star in a new rural drama titled "Lenin." This film marks a departure from his previous ventures and is a project that his family is deeply involved in.

After wrapping up the period film "Dheera," Akhil is set to begin filming "Lenin," directed by Murali Kishor Abburu, known for his work on "Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha." This project initially was planned with Ravi Teja in the lead, but has now shifted to Akkineni Compound.

"Lenin" will be produced by Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya under their banner, Manam Enterprises. The story is said to be a rural drama set in the Chittoor backdrop. Nagarjuna is reportedly very confident about the film and believes it will be a good fit for Akhil. Interestingly, Sahu Garapati, who was initially set to produce the film with Ravi Teja, stepped aside out of respect for Nagarjuna, demonstrating the strong family bond involved in this project.

With this new rural drama, Akhil is looking to tap into a genre that has proven successful in recent years. "Lenin" is an ambitious project with strong backing from his family, and hopes are high that it will mark a turning point for the young actor's career.
