Deadpool & Wolverine actor talks about Ranveer Singh. Karan Soni Wants Ranveer Singh to "Bring the Indian Culture" to the MCU.
The buzz surrounding Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman's "Deadpool & Wolverine" has reached India, where Marvel fans are eagerly anticipating the superhero adventure. Amidst the excitement, Indian-origin actor Karan Soni, known for his role as Dopinder in the "Deadpool" movies, has expressed his desire to see Bollywood star Ranveer Singh take on a villainous role in the MCU.
Speaking to India Today, Karan, when asked about his dream Bollywood casting for the MCU, stated, "Well, because Ryan (Reynolds) said Ranveer voiced Ryan in the Hindi version of the second Deadpool movie, I have to say him. I think he's got all of it. But weirdly, I want him to play a villain because I feel villains have more fun. He has that energy that I think he would play it really well." He added, "I think he would be good in any Hollywood movie. But he, to me, looks like a full-fledged movie star who could be a star in America, too."
Karan went on to praise Ranveer's journey, stating, "I love his story, too. He comes from being an unknown. I always see all those people because I feel that myself. And it's so hard, I think even harder in India to achieve what he has achieved. He feels so Indian, he feels a part of the culture. He'll bring that if he gets to do something here. He'll bring the Indian culture to the international stage."
It seems Karan's admiration for Ranveer is shared by Ryan Reynolds, who, in a promotional interview for "Deadpool & Wolverine," expressed his desire to work with the Bollywood actor. He praised Ranveer's comedic timing and physique, even playfully comparing Hugh Jackman's physique to Ranveer's.
Ranveer Singh, known for his energetic and versatile performances, is currently working on an untitled multi-starrer project with Aditya Dhar, featuring Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, and Arjun Rampal.
The possibility of Ranveer Singh joining the MCU has sparked excitement among Indian fans, who are eager to see him bring his unique energy and cultural influence to the international stage.
