Ramayan: Extravagant sets erected

Following the blockbuster success of "Animal," Ranbir Kapoor is now fully immersed in the highly anticipated mythological epic "Ramayana," directed by Nitesh Tiwari. The film, which has been in development for years, is finally entering its production phase with the construction of twelve massive sets at Mumbai Film City.

These elaborate sets, including depictions of Ayodhya and Mithila, are being built specifically for a 3D shoot, showcasing the film's ambitious scale. Construction is expected to be completed by mid-August, paving the way for the resumption of filming in the same month.

Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi, who are portraying the iconic roles of Rama and Sita, respectively, will return to the set for the next phase of filming. There are no major breaks planned after the set construction, ensuring a smooth and consistent shooting schedule.

Adding to the star-studded cast, Kannada superstar Yash has already completed shooting for several episodes of the film, playing the pivotal role of Ravana. Rumors are swirling that Sunny Deol may be portraying Lord Hanuman, though this has not been officially confirmed.

Nitesh Tiwari and his team are aiming to complete shooting for both parts of the "Ramayana" by the end of 2025. The filming process is anticipated to span 350 days, highlighting the extensive scope of this project.

Following the completion of shooting, the film will undergo extensive post-production work. The release dates for the two-part epic will be announced by the makers next year. With its impressive cast, meticulous set design, and grand production, "Ramayana" promises to be a cinematic experience that will captivate audiences worldwide.
