The success of Sandeep Reddy Vanga's "Animal" has left fans eagerly anticipating a sequel, "Animal Park," with many wondering when and how the story will continue. In a recent interview, Dimri shared, "For now, honestly, I'm as clueless as the audience is. I don't know when it will start or what the story is. I just know it's going to happen, when I don't know." She also addressed the controversy surrounding the film, acknowledging both the critical acclaim and the backlash it received. "It was a great experience. Yes, a lot of criticism also came along with it. But I think it's a part and parcel of the game. And every actor has to go through it," she said. Dimri added that the experience helped bring her work to a wider audience, citing the increased interest in her other projects following the release of "Animal."

"Animal," released in December 2023, centered around a complex and toxic relationship between a man and his father. Ranbir Kapoor's portrayal of Vijay, an anti-hero who resorted to violence to protect his father, sparked intense debate. The film's box office success, exceeding ₹900 crore worldwide, couldn't overshadow the criticism it received for its depiction of toxic masculinity and misogyny.

Renowned lyricist Javed Akhtar recently weighed in on the controversy, referencing "Animal" while discussing the "angry young man" trope in films. He expressed concern over the portrayal of unfocused anger, stating that it can transform characters into caricatures.

Rashmika Mandanna, who also appeared in the film, defended the film's controversial narrative during a podcast interview. She described the protagonist as a "messed-up character" and emphasized the film's raw and realistic portrayal, adding that despite the criticism, audiences ultimately enjoyed the film.

With the future of "Animal Park" shrouded in mystery and the film's controversial legacy still under discussion, fans are left with more questions than answers. The anticipation for the sequel is high, but the uncertainty surrounding the project and the ongoing debate surrounding the original film add an element of intrigue to the equation.
