Varun Chakravarthy dreams of directing Thalapathy Vijay. Varun Chakravarthy Dreams of Directing Vijay, Has Script Ready for His "Comeback".
Cricketer Varun Chakravarthy has revealed an intriguing dream: to direct Tamil superstar Vijay. Speaking on Ravichandran Ashwin's YouTube channel, he shared his passion for filmmaking and even disclosed that he has a script specifically written for Vijay, should the star decide to return to cinema.
Chakravarthy, known for his impressive bowling skills, explained that filmmaking has been a constant dream since he was 25 years old. "I like to make stories, I like to cook up stories," he said, "I like to use 2-3 different characters and create 2-3 different situations. Based on that, I have written 3 stories. I have written full-bound scripts."
Ashwin, noticing Chakravarthy's admiration for Vijay, playfully asked if he had a script ready for the star. Chakravarthy confirmed, "I have written a story for him (Vijay) as well. If he asks for it, I will give him a chance to make a comeback." This revelation adds a layer of intrigue to Vijay's potential future in cinema, especially given his recent foray into politics.
Vijay is currently gearing up for the release of "The Greatest of All Time" (GOAT), directed by Venkat Prabhu. While he hasn't announced any other projects, fans are hopeful he'll take on at least one more film before potentially retiring from acting. Earlier this year, Vijay launched his own political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, indicating a shift in focus towards political ambitions.
Chakravarthy's dream collaboration with Vijay would be a unique pairing of talent and passion. It remains to be seen if Vijay will ultimately decide to return to cinema, but Chakravarthy's dedication to his craft and his belief in Vijay's potential make this a compelling prospect for film enthusiasts.
