Premalu Director Upcoming Film I AM Kathalan Is A Thriller

Director Gireesh AD, known for his films like Super Sharanya, Thanneer Mathan Dinangal, and recent Pan South blockbuster, 'Premalu' is all set to enthral audiences once again with his upcoming project, I Am Kathalan. The film, penned by talented actor Sajin Cherukayil, features Naslen in the lead role. This collaboration marks their second venture together, promising an exciting cinematic experience.

Gireesh AD shared on Instagram a poster of I Am Kathalan that bears the release window for the film. Starring Gireesh's frequent collaborator Naslen and newcomer Anishma Anilkumar in the lead roles, I Am Kathalan will come out in theatres worldwide in August. Gireesh is directing the film from a Sajin Cherukayil screenplay, and it is billed as a family entertainer with thriller elements. 

The poster captures Naslen in casual attire, entering a house while clutching a mysterious packet. It's a screen grab from CC camera footage. Though the film ventures into the thriller space, the movie is supposed to be packed with humour. The writer of the movie also claimed that the second half will hold some surprises. Team hinting at a narrative that might explore the intricacies of digital-age romance and modern love affairs.

I Am Kathalan reunites Gireesh with Naslen after films like Thaneer Mathan Dinangal, Super Sharanya, and Premalu. It also stars Dileesh Pothan, Lijomol Jose, Vineeth Viswam, TG Ravi, and Vineeth Vasudevan in pivotal roles. On the technical front, it has music by Sidhartha Pradeep, editing by Akash Joseph Varghese, and cinematography by Sharan Velayudhan. The film is produced by Dr Paul Varghese under his namesake banner alongside Krishnamoorthy.
