Kamal Haasan says he likes Indian 3 more than Indian 2. Kamal Haasan, along with co-star Siddharth and director Shankar, addressed the media about their upcoming pan-Indian film, "Indian 2," revealing the arduous journey behind its creation.

When asked about the six distinct looks he portrays in the film and the challenges of wearing prosthetics 28 years after the original "Indian," Kamal spoke candidly about the struggles faced during the film's six-year production.

"Indian 2 is the most challenging film I've ever acted in," he admitted. "The obstacles we encountered during these six years are unimaginable – battling COVID, a set accident, and the sudden passing of numerous cast and crew members. We never knew what to expect. It wasn't just about the prosthetics or the role. The prosthetics were quite itchy initially, and I had to get used to them."

Despite these hurdles, Kamal emphasized the unwavering passion and dedication displayed by the entire team. "Everyone, from technicians to actors, had an immense love for this film and were willing to go the extra mile," he shared. "It was unbelievable. I questioned if it was real, but it was. Bringing this film to theaters took six years of relentless work from so many individuals."

Kamal also highlighted the meticulous attention to detail employed by director Shankar. "Shankar was particular about every aspect of Indian Thatha – his clothes, his pen, his knife. It was truly inspiring," he added.

He then clarified his recent statement made at a Singapore press meet, where he had expressed a preference for "Indian 3" over "Indian 2." "People seemed to misunderstand," he explained. "I simply said I liked Indian 3 more, not that I disliked Indian 2! I eagerly anticipate Indian 3 because it has some really fantastic elements. It's like a meal where you enjoy the sambhar and rasam, but look forward to the payasam (dessert), right? It's the same here."

Kamal Haasan's heartfelt account underscores the immense dedication and perseverance required to bring "Indian 2" to life. His passion for the project and the respect for his director and co-workers shines through, creating an anticipation for a film that promises to be a cinematic masterpiece.
