Prabhas starrer Kalki 2898 Ad headlined by Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan had a historic opening at the box office in India. This Nag Ashwin directorial dystopian sci-fi spectacle has now collected close to 100 crores on its opening day, registering the biggest opening day in the history of Indian cinema, surpassing Jawan's 66 Crores with huge margin.
Kalki 2898 Ad collected a total close to Rs 100 Crores with a major chunk came out of Telugu states. The film earned Rs 65+ crore nett in Telugu, Rs 4+crore nett in Tamil, Rs 27 crore nett in Hindi, Rs 3 crore in Malayalam and Rs 1 Crore in Kannada. Coming to Overseas collections, the film has already crossed $ 5.5+ Million on its very first day (Rs 50 Crores)
The film manages to collect a total of Rs 190+ Crores globally. Kalki 2898 Ad stands at third highest opener on first day after RRR's 223 Crores and Baahubali 2's 217 Crores. Both the films were directed by SS Rajamouli. The main difference in collections between the first two films and Kalki came out from interior parts of Telugu states. As Kalki is a sci-fi film which is very new to major section of regional audience, the film's box office performance is not on par with the first two films in this areas.

How he crosses paths with Ashwatthama (Amitabh) and SU-M80 (Deepika) forms the story. Kamal plays Supreme Yaskin, the ruler of Complex.
