Joju George injured in Thug Life action shoot. Acclaimed actor Joju George sustained a fracture in his left foot during a high-risk stunt on the set of Mani Ratnam's highly anticipated film "Thug Life." The incident occurred while filming a helicopter landing scene at an airport in Pondicherry, where co-stars Kamal Haasan and Nasser were also present.
During the scene, actors were required to jump from the helicopter as it landed. Joju George, unfortunately, lost control during the stunt and fell, sustaining the fracture. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Despite doctors' advice to rest for a week with a plaster cast, Joju George returned to Kochi last night after completing his filming commitments in Pondicherry. He has now shifted the final stages of technical work on his own directorial debut, "Pani," to a hotel room in Kochi.
"Thug Life" marks the much-anticipated reunion of Kollywood legends Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam, who haven't collaborated in over three decades. The film has generated immense excitement since its announcement, with many predicting it to be one of the most significant projects of Kamal Haasan's career. The star-studded cast also includes Trisha Krishnan as the female lead.
While Joju George's injury is a setback for the production, the actor's dedication to completing his work is commendable. We wish him a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him back in action soon.
