Dhanush Captain Miller, Bhumi Pednekar Bhakshak Nominated For UK Awards

Dhanush's film ‘Captain Miller’ has garnered attention on the international stage. The film secured a nomination for Best Foreign Language Film at the UK National Film Awards. Besides ‘Captain Miller’, Bhumi Pednekar’s ‘Bhakshak’ has also bagged a nomination in the same category.

‘Captain Miller’ and ‘Bhakshak’ will pit against other popular films, like ‘You Are Not Alone: Fighting the Wolf Pack’ from Spain, ‘The Parades’ from Japan, ‘Red Ollero: Mabuhay is a Lie’ from the Philippines, ‘Sixty Minutes’ from Germany and ‘The Heartbreak Agency’ from Germany.

'Captain Miller’, directed by Arun Matheswaran, features a notable cast including Dhanush, Sundeep Kishan, Priyanka Mohan, Nivedhithaa Sathish, and Edward Sonnenblick. The period drama is set in the pre-independence era, focusing on a crucial chapter in India’s history.

On the other hand, ‘Bhakshak’ shows Bhumi Pednekar playing a journalist dedicated to unearthing the truth about a heinous crime in ‘Bhakshak’. Inspired by true events, the film, directed by Pulkit, released on Netflix on February 9.
