Hema gets conditional bail in Bengaluru rave party.Telugu actor Hema, arrested in connection with the Bengaluru rave party case on June 3rd, was granted conditional bail on Wednesday by the NDPS Special Court.
The bail was granted after Hema's lawyer, Mahesh Kiran Shetty, argued that no drugs were found in her possession and her medical examination was conducted several days after her arrest.
The FIR filed in the case alleged that Hema was one of 27 women who tested positive for drug consumption at a rave party held at a farmhouse in Bengaluru's Electronic City on May 19th. The Central Crime Branch (CCB) raided the farmhouse based on a tip-off and collected blood samples from attendees. The party was reportedly disguised as a birthday celebration.
Additional FIR copies obtained by India Today reveal that the party was attended by 73 men and 30 women, with blood samples from 59 men and 27 women testing positive for drugs. In total, 86 out of 103 individuals present tested positive for drug abuse.
However, Hema subsequently refuted the allegations in a social media video, claiming her name was wrongly implicated and that she was at a farmhouse on the outskirts of Hyderabad at the time of the party.
While Hema has been granted bail, the investigation into the rave party case continues.
