Raghava Lawrence on Mrunal Thakur in Kanchana 4

Mrunal Thakur, riding high on the success of "Sita Ramam" and "Hi Nanna", has become a sought-after actress in South India. Recent speculation about her potential Kollywood debut in Raghava Lawrence's "Kanchana 4" sent fans into a frenzy, but Lawrence has now clarified that these rumors are unfounded.

On Sunday, Lawrence took to X (formerly Twitter) to dispel the casting rumors surrounding "Kanchana 4." In a post accompanied by his picture, he wrote, "Hi friends and fans, All the information regarding Kanchana 4 and casting that are circulating around social media are just rumors. Official announcement will be made through Ragavendra Production. Coming soon!"

Despite this clarification, fans are clearly rooting for Mrunal to join the "Kanchana" franchise. The comments under Lawrence's post are filled with pleas for him to consider her for the role. "Mrunal ni set chey bro," (Rope in Mrunal bro) and "Mrunal besttt" are just a few of the enthusiastic responses.

The "Kanchana" series, a beloved horror-comedy franchise created and directed by Raghava Lawrence, has a loyal fanbase. The first installment, "Muni," released in 2007, was followed by "Muni 2: Kanchana" (2011), "Kanchana 2" (2015), and "Kanchana 3" (2019). Each film has featured Raghava Lawrence in the lead role.

While "Kanchana 4" is still in its early stages, the possibility of Mrunal Thakur joining the cast has undoubtedly generated a significant buzz. Her upcoming projects include "Pooja Meri Jaan" in Hindi, while she awaits the release of "The Family Star" with Vijay Deverakonda in Telugu.
