Keerthy Suresh Raghu Thatha Will Arrive For Independence Day

Keerthy Suresh who is currently making her Bollywood debut with 'Baby John' with Varun Dhawan has also wrapped her Tamil film, 'Raghu Thatha' where she plays the lead role. The film is maiden Tamil production of popular Sandalwood production house Hombale Films which brings pan India spectacles like KGF series, Kantara and Salaar: Ceasefire. 

Raghu Thatha, is billed as a comedy drama, marks the directorial debut of Suman Kumar, who wrote Prime video’s hit Hindi thriller series The Family Man and Netflix’s black comedy series Guns & Gulaabs. A teaser of the film showed Keerthy Suresh’s character, Kayalvizhi, fight against Hindi imposition was released in January.

The Tamil satirical film, Raghu Thatha, has announced its release date. Raghu Thatha is set to arrive in theaters on Independence Day 2024 and will face a significant box office clash with Pushpa 2, starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandhana, directed by Sukumar. However, it may not have a Telugu release.

With cinematography by Yamini Yagnamurthy, Raghu Thatha has music by Sean Roldan and editing by TS Suresh. The film is produced by Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films. Meanwhile, Keerthy Suresh lent her voice for Nag Ashwin’s sci-fi epic Kalki: 2898 AD; this time, the Mahanati star has dubbed for a robot ‘Bujji’.
