Ajay Devgn Maidaan Is Now Streaming On OTT With Rent Option

Ajay Devgn’s recent film, sports biographical drama Maidaan was released last month for Eid to glowing reviews. The long delay in releasing the film, multiple postponements has lead to lack of buzz about the film. Adding to that weak promotions also hampered the film's bright prospects at the boxoffice despite detting positive word of mouth. The film posted weak numbers resulting in a box-office failure.

Maidaan has now made its way to OTT and is streaming on Amazon Prime Video but is available for rent only and only in Hindi. The film will be available for all subscribers from 5th June in all languages. This strategy has been adopted by the makers to generate some revenue through rentals. But, with piracy at large it won't be of much use in India. 

Directed by 'Badhaai Ho' fame Amit Sharma, ‘Maidaan' is a biographical sports drama featuring Ajay Devgn in the role of football coach, Syed Abdul Rahim. He was a football coach in India between 1952 and 1962 and helped India receive worldwide recognition. Boney Kapoor has produced this film under his Bayview banner. 

The film also has Priyamani, Gajaraj Rao, Devyansh Tripathi, Boney Kapoor, Nitanshi Goel, and Aayesha Vindhara in pivotal roles. The sports drama is jointly produced by Zee Studios, Bayview Projects and Fresh Lime Films. AR Rahman has composed the music.
