Payal Rajput takes on Rakshana makers. Actress Payal Rajput, known for her roles in films like "RX 100" and "Mangalavaaram," has made serious allegations of harassment and exploitation by the producers of her upcoming film, "Rakshana" (formerly titled "5Ws"). The film, shot in 2019 and 2020, has been facing delays in its release.

Payal claims that the producers, hoping to leverage her recent success, demanded her promotional presence for the film despite owing her significant dues. Despite her team’s attempts to negotiate a compromise – offering digital promotions in exchange for payment and compensation – the producers allegedly refused.  

Further exacerbating the situation, Payal alleges the producers misused her name and image without her consent, tarnishing her public image. They are also accused of resorting to threats, warning Payal that she would be banned from Telugu cinema if she didn't comply with their demands.

Payal's team has reported instances of inappropriate language during meetings, with a distributor allegedly demanding she showcase certain physical attributes to accept the film.

With the producers planning to release "Rakshana" without her consent, Payal has announced her intention to pursue legal action.  She has garnered widespread support from the public and industry professionals, with many condemning the producers' actions and expressing solidarity with the actress.

The situation remains unresolved, and further developments in this case are keenly awaited. This incident highlights the prevalent issue of exploitation and harassment faced by many artists in the entertainment industry, prompting calls for stronger regulations and protection measures.
