Sobhita to glitter at Cannes. The Cannes Film Festival is just around the corner, and film enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating the offerings of the 77th edition. Each year, celebrities, filmmakers, artists, and cinema lovers converge at the Palais des Festivals et des Congres to celebrate the art of filmmaking.

As with previous editions, Indian stars are expected to grace the Cannes red carpet this year. Actor Sobhita Dhulipala is set to make her Cannes debut, representing an ice cream brand at the prestigious festival on the French Riviera.

Regular Cannes attendee Aishwarya Rai is also likely to attend this year's festival, continuing her tradition of stunning appearances. Aditi Rao Hydari will also be present at the gala as one of the brand ambassadors of L'Oreal Paris. In a recent interview, Aditi expressed her excitement about attending the Cannes Film Festival for the third time.

"I have Lioness, which is an Indo-British production. It is headlined by two girls. There is Paige Sandhu from the UK. It's about the suffragette movement, and I think a lot of people are very excited about it. So I'm so looking forward to starting that. I'm also in preparation, leaving for Cannes with L'Oreal very soon. So I'm prepping for the work to be done there for that," she shared.

Aditi made her Cannes debut in 2022, dazzling on the red carpet with her stunning looks. She graced the festival again last year, capturing attention with her off-red-carpet look, a dreamy blue confection by Oscar De La Renta, which she wore for a L'Oreal shoot.

The Cannes Film Festival will open with the world premiere of Quentin Dupieux's Le Deuxieme Acte (The Second Act), featuring Lea Seydoux, Vincent Lindon, Louis Garrel, and Raphael Quenard. The opening ceremony will also see Oscar winner Meryl Streep receiving the honorary Palme d'Or.

"I am immeasurably honoured to receive the news of this prestigious award. To win a prize at Cannes, for the international community of artists, has always represented the highest achievement in the art of filmmaking. To stand in the shadow of those who have previously been honoured is humbling and thrilling in equal part. I so look forward to coming to France to thank everyone in person this May," Meryl commented on this honour.
