Indraganti Mohana Krishna: Sensible And Versatile Director

Indraganti Mohana Krishna is one of those rare filmmakers who has a unique style of portraying sensible emotions in their movies. In addition to that Indraganti tries various genres in his films without leaving his mark. He made films in art house genre, romcom, screwball comedy, thriller, revenge action thriller, sports based drama...He is probably only director who has attempted such wide range of genres among filmmakers in his style of making. 

Indraganti Mohana Krishna is born and bought up in a family with literature background. His father Srikanth Sharma and mother are writers. His forefathers were also familiar with writing. Obviously, Indraganti gets attracted towards stories and literature. He completed Master of Fine Arts in York University. Earlier into films he made a horror short film called 'Chali' with the minimum resources he had. 

It was praised by writer, actor Tanikella Bharani later who became his mentor in films recommended to director Ram Gopal Varma as an Associate to him after watching his short film Varma instead of offering an Associate he offered to direct his film called 'Madhyanam Hathya'. Later at the finishing stage they both got creative differences and he left the film later Varma remade the film again under his direction.

His first film 'Grahanam' starring Tanikella Bharani fetched him 11 Awards and recognition. As his second directorial venture, he made Mayabazaar, featured Bhumika Chawla and Raja in the lead roles. His next film, Ashta Chamma, which featured Colours Swathi, Nani, Srinivas Avasarala and Bhargavi, turned out to be a huge success at box office. His later films, Golkonda High School and Anthaka Mundhu Aa Tharuvatha, did well at box office.

But, with Nani starrer Gentleman, Adivi Sesh, Srinivas Avasarala starrer Ami Thumi and Sudheer Babu starrer Sammohanam, Indraganti scored hat-trick successes. His next action thriller with Nani, Sudheer Babu starrer 'V' was directly released to OTT. His last film was with Sudheer Babu, Aa Ammayi Gurinchi Meeku Cheppali. Now, he is gearing up to make a comeback with his next starring Priyadarshi.
