Bishnoi Gang Claims Responsibility For Shooting At Salman Khan House

This Sunday, entire Bollywood woke up to a shocking news that two unidentified individuals on motorcycles fired shots at Salman Khan's residence, the Galaxy Apartments in Bandra. Police discovered four empty shells and a live bullet at the scene, prompting investigations into potential links with Lawrence Bishnoi's gang. Salman Khan, who has Y-plus category security cover, and his family members were present at home when the firing took place. 

A Facebook post purportedly uploaded by Anmol Bishnoi, the younger brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, claimed responsibility for the firing. The post, attributed to the 'Lawrence Bishnoi group,' served as a warning, indicating the group's capabilities. He faces numerous criminal charges and was released from Jodhpur jail in October 2021.

He writes "We want peace. If the decision against oppression is by war, so be it. Salman Khan, we did this to show you the trailer. So that you understand our capabilities. Don't test us. This is the first and last warning to you. After this, the bullets won't be fired just at empty homes," the post said. Salman Khan had in the past received at least two threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi-Goldy Brar gang. The gang has been targeting the actor because of his alleged involvement in the 1998 blackbuck killing case in Rajasthan. Blackbucks are considered holy by the Bishnoi community and Lawrence Bishnoi claimed that he has been upset with the actor ever since.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde assured Salman Khan of decisive action against the perpetrators and instructed the Mumbai police commissioner to enhance the actor's security. Salman resides with his family in the eight-storey Galaxy Apartments in Bandra, Mumbai. The Central intelligence and Delhi Police's special cell are investigating potential connections to Lawrence Bishnoi's criminal network.
