Yash Joined Forces With Namit Malhotra To Produce Global Epic Ramayana

Mythological Epic, 'Ramayana' has been in the news as Bollywood filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari announced it last year. The film which was recently started the shooting stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita, and Sunny Deol as Hanuman. Earlier, Yash was rumoured to play Ravana. Now, the actor has joined the film only as a producer. Namit Malhotra’s production company Prime Focus Studios and Rocking Star Yash’s Monster Mind Creations have joined forces to create the definitive version of epic Indian saga Ramayana for global audiences. 

Namit Malhotra, who is also the Global CEO of multiple Academy Award-winning visual effects company DNEG, joins KGF Star Yash, to bring India’s rich cultural heritage to the world. Together with renowned director Nitesh Tiwari, aimed to deliver a never-before-seen visual cinematic experience. It is unclear whether Yash joins the cast as Ravan or confined himself as a producer to Ramayana. 

Other Principal Cast Of Ramayana

Bobby Deol has been reportedly approached to play Kumbhkaran. There are also rumours that Vijay Sethupathi could play Raavan's youngest brother, Vibhishan. Lara Dutta and Sheeba Chaddha will also be part of the film. While Lara will play the role of Lord Ram’s stepmother, Kaikeyi, Sheeba will be seen as Manthara. The film might release around Diwali 2025.

Yash's Upcoming Film

Monster Mind Creations Founded by Yash, is an independent production house which is currently co-producing two major films: "Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups" in collaboration with KVN Productions and "Ramayana" alongside Prime Focus Studios. Toxic is directed by Geetu Mohandas. The film is touted to be an action-oriented film set against the backdrop of the drug mafia. The film is scheduled to hit the screens on April 10, 2025.
