Can anyone defeat Owaisi. AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi appears to have a strong advantage over his rivals in the Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency. K. Madhavi Latha, a newcomer from the BJP, has been challenging the incumbent MP and giving him a tough competition. Congress leader Feroz Khan mentioned that there is an understanding between the Congress and the AIMIM regarding the Hyderabad constituency, which has been the stronghold of the Owaisi-led party for many years.

Feroz Khan ruled out the possibility of himself being fielded by the Congress in the Hyderabad constituency and expressed doubt that the BRS would win any MP seats in the upcoming election. The BRS has announced Gaddam Srinivas Yadav as their candidate for the Hyderabad Lok Sabha polls, while Shyam Rao, Sameer Waliullah, and Ali Masqati are front-runners from the Congress for the Lok Sabha constituency. There is also speculation that the ruling party could field a female candidate from the Hyderabad seat.

The Hyderabad constituency has been dominated by the Owaisi family since Sultan Salahuddin Owaisi, Asaduddin Owaisi's father, won the Lok Sabha election in 1984 as an independent candidate. The constituency has over 20 lakh voters, with a significant portion from the minority community. It is spread across seven assembly constituencies, of which six are held by the AIMIM, except for Goshamahal, won by BJP's T. Raja Singh.

In the recent assembly election, AIMIM's Jaffar Hussain Meraj won from the Yakutpura segment by a narrow margin over the Majlis Bachao Tahreek’s (MBT’s) Amjed Ullah Khan. While the AIMIM is confident of winning their traditional seat comfortably and aims to increase the victory margin, the BJP is banking on Hindutva and women empowerment to sway votes. The BJP believes that if non-minority votes remain united, they could create history by winning the Hyderabad seat.
