The Family Star Heading Towards Half Million At US BO

Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur's 'Family Star' released in theatres on 5th April. The film which landed amidst good expectations has earned Rs 7+ crore gross in India on its opening day. The film opened to divide talk but as the film is family friendly, it picked up from night shows. 

'Family Star' raked in $ 475k at US boxoffice and cruising ahead towards half a million mark. The film has collected a total of Rs 12+ Crores gross approx worldwide. The film needs to pickup and register big numbers to earn clean hit status. 

Family Star revolves around Govardhan (played by Vijay Deverakonda), a middle-class man devoted to his family’s happiness. The film, directed by Parasuram Petla, is a romantic family drama that explores the lives of a middle-class family. 

Directed by Parasuram Petla's Family Star marks the first collaboration between Vijay and Mrunal. The film, supported by a cast including Abhinaya, Vasuki, Rohini Hattangadi, and Ravi Babu, also features a special appearance by Divyansha Kaushik. Dil Raju and Sirish produced the film on Sri Venkateswara Creations banner. Gopiaundar has composed the music.
