The Malayalam survival thriller Manjummel Boys directed by Chidambaram S Poduval will be hitting the theatres in the Telugu states on the 6th of this month. Starring Soubin Shahir, Ganapathi, Khalid Rahman, and Sreenath Bhasi, this Malayalam industry hit has big backing in Telugu with the leading production and distribution house Mythri Movie Makers buying the rights.
The makers have decided to go with early paid premieres on April 5th. Bookings have been opened now for these paid premieres. Since the movie was a big hit in Malayalam and Tamil, makers expect the story with universal appeal will equally please the Telugu audience. The movie is a survival thriller based on real incidents.
Vijay Deverakonda's Family Star is also slated to release on 5th February. So, Manjummel Boys taking on Family Star starting with evening shows. It would be interesting to see about screen sharing between these two films as both of them are getting released by big players in distribution, Family Star by Dil Raju and Manjummel Boys by Mythri Movie Makers.
The movie was produced by Babu Shahir, Soubin Shahir, and Shawn Antony under Parava Films. The Telugu version is presented by Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar Yalamanchili. Shyju Khalid is the cinematographer, while the music is scored by Sushin Shyam. Vivek Harshan is the editor and Ajayan Chalissery is the production designer.
