Ever since its release a month ago, Manjummel Boys directed by Chidambaram has been receiving rave reviews from audience as well as critics. Filmgoers have been making a beeline to theatres to catch the survival drama based on a real life story. The film has emerged as an industry hit surpassing Rs 200 crores mark for the first time in Mollywood.
Several celebrities also caught the film and appreciated the director as well as the cast for their work. After Kamal Haasan met the cast, Rajinikanth had also invited the team to his house to laud them for their efforts. Director Chidambaram along with actors Ganapathi, Chandu Salimkumar, Deepak Parambol and Arun Kurian met the star.
Photos of the meet have been widely shared on social media. Actors Soubin Shahir and Sreenath Bhasi are also part of the cast. Recently the makers announced that Manjummel Boys has crossed the Rs. 200-crore mark at the global box office. It is the first Malayalam film to achieve this feat, according to the makers. The film is set to release in Telugu on 5th April.
Based on real-life events, Manjummel Boys is a survival thriller whose technical crew includes cinematographer Shyju Khalid, composer Sushin Shyam, editor Vivek Harshan, and production designer Ajayan Chalissery. It is jointly produced by Soubin Shahir, Babu Shahir, and Shawn Antony.
