Ever since the announcement was made about the collaboration of Kamal Haasan and Maniratnam, the cinephiles and industry were abuzz with excitement as both the masters of craft joining hands together after Iconic 'Nayakudu' which was released three decades ago. The announcement video was shot strikingly along with announcing ensemble cast for the project titled 'Thug Life'.
Citing dates issues, Dulquer Salmaan walked out of the film. There were rumours that Jayam Ravi also followed Dulquer as the film is taking time to start filming. Talks were making rounds in tinseltown that Silambarasan TR will replace Dulquer Salmaan in Kamal Haasan's Thug Life.
STR, who was speculated to replace him, is expected to join the sets of Thug Life in April, according to a few sources. STR is headlining a project helmed by Desingh Periyasamy produced under Kamal Haasan's banner Raaj Kamal Film International (RKFI).
The star-studded cast of Thug Life includes Trisha, Gautham Karthik, Joju George and Aishwarya Lekshmi. Thug Life, directed by Mani Ratnam, has Ravi K Chandran as the cinematographer, AR Rahman as the music composer, Sreekar Prasad as the editor, and Anbariv as the stunt directors.
