Huge demand for Saripodhaa Sanivaaram Hindi dubbing rights. According to Hindi film distributors, the makers of the highly anticipated Telugu movie "Saripodhaa Sanivaaram" are demanding an unprecedented Rs 25 crore for the Hindi dubbing rights alone. This hefty price tag has raised concerns among distributors, as recovering such a large amount in the Hindi market could be challenging.
A distributor noted that Nani's earlier action film "Dasara" was bought for Rs 8 to 9 crores, but the makers are now asking for three times that amount, which is seen as a risky proposition. While Nani's popularity has grown over the years, particularly in the Telugu market, he doesn't have a substantial following among Hindi film viewers due to his past focus on romantic stories.
The distributor suggested that producer DVV Danayya should consider this factor and set a more reasonable price, rather than inflating the cost simply because "Saripodhaa Sanivaaram" is an action-packed saga. However, Danayya is known for his penchant for grandiose films and is committed to delivering a star-studded action adventure, even if it means digging deep into his pockets.
Despite this, the distributor cautioned that the Hindi dubbing rates for Telugu films have suffered due to several flops in the past, making it challenging to attract audiences in the Hindi heartland for dubbed Telugu movies. Only blockbusters like "Karthikeya 2," "HanuMan," and commercial films like "Pushpa" have managed to make a significant impact in the Hindi market.
