Pa Ranjith To Produced Dhruv Vikram Film With Director Mari Selvaraj

Director Mari Selvaraj in Avery short span of time earned fame as an acclaimed director with his hard-hitting themes dealing with caste and oppressed class. Right from his first film, 'Pariyerum Perumal' to his next Dhanush starrer 'Karnan' until his latest 'Maamannan' headlined by Vadivelu, Udhayanidhi Stalin, Keerthy Suresh and Fahadh Faasil, Mari Selvaraj showed his distinguished mark in filmmaking.

Mari Selvaraj's next with Dhruv Vikram which happens to be a sports drama has been in the news for months now. The official announcement regarding the film was made by the makers. Pa Ranjith's Neelam Studios and Applause Entertainment are coming together to produce this upcoming, yet-to-be-titled film.

Anupama Parameswaran also stars in the lead role in the upcoming film. Previously, reports suggested that the upcoming sports film will be based on the life of Tamil Nadu Kabaddi player Manathi Ganesan, who is a recipient of Arjuna Award. More details regarding the title, extended cast and crew of the sports drama film are yet to be revealed by the makers.

Meanwhile, Mari Selvaraj is currently working on Vaazhai, a children's film starring Nikhila Vimal in the lead role. Dhruv Vikram was last seen in Vikram and Karthik Subbaraj's Mahaan, which was released on Prime Video in 2022. Pa Ranjith is currently busy with the post-production of Thangalaan starring Vikram. The film is expected to hit theatres in April. As a producer, he recently released Blue Star and J Baby.
