Anushka Shetty Joins Shoot Of Malayalam Film Kathanar

Anushka Shetty is quite popular in South Film Industry. She still holds highest grossers in female oriented films in South languages with Arundhati and Bhagamathie films. Baahubali 1 & 2 films have catapulted her stardom to new heights across the nation. But, she chose to remain doing female oriented films only. After Size Zero where she put on weight for her role in the film, she rarely appeared publicly except for Baahubali movie promotions. 

Even she didn't appeared for any interviews during the release of her film Miss Shetty Mister Polishetty last year. Finally, Anushka made a public appearance while joining the shoot of her maiden Malayalam film, 'Kathanar'. Anushka surprised everyone with her slim look and looks absolutely gorgeous in her latest appearance.

Anushka Shetty has joined the cast of Kathanar - The Wild Sorcerer. She has now joined the sets of director Rojin Thomas's upcoming film headlined by Jayasurya, which went on floors in April 2023. 

The film is billed as a fantasy film based on the tales of Kadamattathu Kathanar, a Kerala priest who was believed to possess supernatural powers. 

The first schedule was completed in June last year. It was also reported that the film is being shot using virtual production technology, which, according to the makers, is the first of its kind in Indian cinema. Kathanar - The Wild Sorcerer, scripted by R Ramanand, has Neil D Cunha as the cinematographer, Jungjin Park as the action choreographer, and Rahul Subrahmanian Unni as the music director. Sree Gokulam Movies is backing the film, which is aiming for release in several Indian and foreign languages.
