Bollywood actress Vidya Balan has taken legal action against an individual who created a fake Instagram account in her name and used it to deceive people by offering them job opportunities in the film industry in exchange for money. The impersonator not only duplicated Balan's social media account but also created a Gmail account under her name to contact individuals in Bollywood.

Upon discovering this fraudulent activity, Vidya Balan promptly filed an FIR with the Mumbai Police's Khar Police Station under Section 66 (C) of the Information Technology Act. She has also urged her fans and followers on Instagram to help report and block the fake account.

Meanwhile, Vidya Balan is eagerly anticipating the release of her upcoming film 'Do Aur Do Pyaar', in which she stars alongside Ileana D'Cruz, Pratik Gandhi, and Sendhil Ramamurthy. Her last on-screen appearance was in the 2023 film 'Neeyat'.
