Aditi Shankar gets engaged, readies for second marriage. The wedding season is in full swing, not just in Bollywood but also in Kollywood. Director Shankar's elder daughter, Aishwarya Shankar, has recently become engaged to Tarun Karthik, who serves as an assistant director under Shankar. The news has set social media abuzz, with fans and well-wishers pouring in their love and blessings for the couple.

The engagement ceremony was a delightful affair, with Aishwarya looking stunning in a traditional saree adorned with exquisite gold jewelry, while Tarun looked dashing in his white attire. Aditi Shankar, Shankar's younger daughter and an actress, shared numerous joyful photos from the celebrations on her social media, further elevating the excitement surrounding the event.

This is not Aishwarya's first brush with wedding ceremonies that have captured headlines. She was previously married to cricketer Rohit in June 2021, in a lavish ceremony organized by Shankar at a luxury resort in Mahabalipuram. Despite taking place during the Covid-19 pandemic, the wedding was attended by several notable personalities, including Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin.

Rohit's history, however, has been marred by controversy. He was implicated in a legal case when a 16-year-old girl accused cricket coach Thamarai Kannan of sexual harassment, alleging Rohit's involvement as well. Following these allegations, Shankar decided to cancel a planned reception that was scheduled for May 2022, which was intended to host members of the film industry. Although the reasons for this cancellation were not officially disclosed, speculation suggested it was due to the POSCO case and Rohit's alleged involvement.
