Their journey to parenthood began after they tied the knot in June 2021, following a romantic courtship of over two years. The couple shared the joyous news during the trailer launch of their upcoming film, ‘Article 370,’ confirming that Yami is currently five-and-a-half-months pregnant.

While the couple has chosen not to make a public announcement on social media, they candidly discussed Yami’s pregnancy during the trailer launch event. Aditya, beaming with excitement, shared, “This film is a family affair. My brother was there, my wife was there, and there was a baby on its way. It was an amazing time, the way the film happened, the way we got to know about the baby.”

Following Aditya's announcement, Yami expressed her happiness and shared insights into her experience of filming during pregnancy. “It was mentally draining. I could write a thesis on it. There are so many questions, and the firsts are always challenging. If you ask me about motherhood and everything coming together, I really don’t know what I would have done had Aditya not been there by my side, and Lokesh bhaiyaa, everybody,” she said.

Reflecting on her cautious approach throughout the filming process, Yami revealed, “There was rigorous training involved for the film. You want to be cautious and careful, and I am thankful to all the doctors who were supervising this secretly. We were mostly left with the talking portions (by the time I was expecting a baby) so we could manage. But this felt surreal because the baby was also a part of it. Some of the inspiration also came from how I saw my mother work her way through.”

Meanwhile, ‘Article 370,’ directed by two-time National Award-winner Aditya Suhas Jambhale, promises to be a gripping political drama centered around combating terrorism in Kashmir by nullifying Article 370. Headlined by Yami Gautam, the film, produced by Jio Studios and the team behind ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike,’ is set to hit cinemas worldwide on February 23, 2024.
